Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka was who was born in Minsk (the capital city of Belarus) she is her father's daughter. Sergey the father of her (who died in 2019) was a professional ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka's career began in Minsk Belarus on 5 May 1998. Over the course of her career, she's had 12 WTA singles titles. One of them was the Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. For doubles she's the best player. She's been a winner of two majors along with Elise Mertens including the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. This year, the Belgian was the winner of both in the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian Partner, who completed the Sunshine Double. The feat was made possible by four couples in the women's doubles. On 23 August 2021 she reached second place in the singles world ranking her highest ranking was again reached in the month of January in 2023. At doubles she however pushed herself up to first place at the beginning of February that year following her victory in Melbourne and becoming the 2nd tennis player from Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. The coach she was working with was an ex- Russian tennis pro Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season of 2019 and also towards the start of 2020. There was a brief collaboration with Dieter Kindlmann between August and September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, followed by Maria Sharapova.
